conflict of interest

I’ve done quite a bit of buying and selling on Craigslist recently. I’ve sold Katie’s Honda Spree and our pop-up camper. I’ve bought our new vacation home, many of the items to furnish it, and most recently I found uniforms for Emily to wear at Blue Lake this week, saving myself about $80.

My problem is the incredible guilt I feel using Craigslist when I know that the newspaper industry, our bread and butter, is struggling so much to survive.

It's not your fault that the newspaper industry hasn't figured out how to make the internet work FOR them.

And did you ever really buy things through the newspaper anyway? The newspaper is for news. Craigslist is for buying and selling.

To everything there is a season.

Good grief I'm wise today!

You are correct, but unfortunately the ads are what pay for the news. And as Craig doesn't charge , copying that makes it difficult for the newspapers to generate revenue.

Everybody's got to eat.

And I did used to look in the paper before Craigslist.
